A reference is useful only when readers can understand where its claims came from.
Field-level provenance
Core measurements can be linked to the exact field they support. Narrative sections carry their own references, and every citation stores author, title, publisher or organization, date, URL or DOI, and access date where applicable.
Further reading
Gemstone profiles display their published references in a consistent numbered list. Sources are not decorative: they are part of the editorial data model and revision workflow.
